Nature of Counselling and Supervision

Holistic Calm provides relational, somatic and integrative counselling and clinical supervision services for individuals, couples and helping professionals.

Counselling is a collaborative process intended to support reflection, emotional awareness, insight and meaningful change. Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions and wellbeing.

Holistic Calm does not provide medical, psychiatric, legal or emergency crisis services.

Confidentiality

Information shared within counselling or supervision sessions is treated with care and confidentiality, except where disclosure is required or permitted by law, including circumstances involving:

• risk of serious harm to yourself or another person

• mandatory reporting obligations

• legal requirements such as subpoenas or court orders

• your written consent

De-identified material may be discussed within professional supervision for the purpose of ethical and competent practice.

Appointments and Sessions

Sessions are available online across Australia and in person in Kelmscott.

Session durations and fees are outlined within the online booking system and may vary depending on appointment type.

Holistic Calm reserves the right to modify session fees or service offerings where necessary.

Payments

Payment is required at the conclusion of each session unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods may include electronic transfer or other approved payment options listed within the booking system.

Cancellations and Non-Attendance

By booking an appointment, you agree to the cancellation policy published on this website.

To ensure appointment availability for all clients, the following cancellation fees apply:

• More than 2 business days' notice: No cancellation fee applies.

• 2 business days' notice: 50% of the scheduled session fee is payable.

• 1 business day or less notice: The full session fee is payable.

For the purposes of this policy, a business day is Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Close of business is 5:00pm AWST.

For example, a Monday appointment must be cancelled before 5:00pm on the preceding Thursday to avoid cancellation fees.

Telehealth and Electronic Communication

While secure platforms are used wherever possible, no online communication or digital platform can be guaranteed completely secure.

Email and SMS communication should be used for practical or administrative matters only and are not suitable for crisis support or therapeutic counselling unless otherwise agreed.

Record Keeping and Digital Documentation

Holistic Calm maintains counselling and supervision records in accordance with ethical and legal obligations.

Secure third-party platforms, including AI-assisted documentation or transcription tools such as Heidi Health, may be used to support clinical note-taking and practice administration.

Reasonable care is taken to utilise reputable providers with appropriate privacy and security standards. Any use of AI-assisted documentation remains subject to professional oversight, ethical obligations and clinical judgment.

Records are securely stored and retained in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.
