Meet Stefanie Evans
Counsellor, Couples Therapist & Clinical Supervisor
"It is virtually impossible to see ourselves in all of our complexity, as others do, without the benefit of a neutral, objective professional. Working with a trusted therapist will enable you to explore and discover yourself in a way that makes authentic living possible."
I work alongside my clients as they navigate relationship distress, betrayal, separation, blended family challenges, attachment wounds and patterns of relating that leave them feeling confused, disconnected, unseen or stuck.

Working Together
Hi, I'm Stefanie.
My work blends somatic and existential perspectives with a deep respect for nervous system safety, emotional complexity and the wisdom of inner experience. Alongside evidence-informed practice, I draw on intuition, curiosity and a holistic understanding of the interconnected relationship between mind, body, meaning and human experience.
Influenced by the work of Dan Siegel and interpersonal neurobiology, I view healing as a process of integration—bringing together thoughts, emotions, somatic experience and deeper inner knowing. When these parts of ourselves begin to align, we often gain greater clarity, self-understanding and freedom to respond differently.
In my work with couples, I draw on the approaches of Esther Perel, The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the work of Dr Sara Nasserzadeh. I specialise in a trauma-informed approach to relationship counselling, recognising that communication difficulties are often influenced by attachment patterns, neurodivergence, childhood experiences and nervous system responses.
This may include patterns such as:
• Fight
• Flight
• Freeze
• Fawn
• Shutdown
• Hypervigilance
• Emotional Flooding
• Avoidance
• Defensiveness
• Withdrawal
I work comfortably with complexity and am particularly skilled at helping couples navigate multiple intersecting challenges simultaneously - whether that involves communication breakdown, betrayal, affairs, neurodivergence, parenting stress, intimacy concerns, trauma or longstanding relational patterns.
on and relationship.
